Visitor information
Privacy on Textic Talk
Textic Talk is a reading site. There are no accounts to create, no comment boxes, no newsletters and no shop. That keeps the amount of personal data we deal with very small, and this page explains exactly what it is. Last updated October 2026.
Who is responsible
The site is run by the Textic Talk editorial team. For anything about privacy, write to write@textictalk.com. We answer privacy questions ourselves and do not pass them to anyone else.
A static site without tracking
Every page is built in advance and delivered as a finished file. Nothing is generated about you while you read. In particular, Textic Talk uses:
- no analytics software or visitor counters,
- no advertising networks or ad cookies,
- no social-media widgets, tracking pixels or embedded third-party players,
- no fingerprinting or cross-site profiles of any kind.
Your cookie choice
When you answer the cookie notice, your browser stores that answer in its local storage so the notice does not reappear on every page. The stored value only records whether you accepted or declined. It stays on your device, is never sent to us and can be removed at any time by clearing your browser's site data. More detail is on Cookie Settings at a Glance.
What the delivering server notes down
Like any website, Textic Talk is delivered by a hosting provider. To deliver pages and keep the service secure, the provider's servers briefly record technical details of each request, such as the IP address, the time, the page requested, the browser type and the referring page. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running, they are kept only for a short period, and we do not combine them with other information or use them to identify visitors. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the site safe and reachable as the legal basis.
When you email us
If you write to us, we receive your email address, your message and anything else you choose to include. We use it only to reply and to deal with your request, for example fixing an error you reported. We keep the conversation for as long as it is needed for that purpose and then delete it. We never add you to a mailing list and never sell or share your address. Please do not send payment details or other sensitive information.
Your rights
The GDPR and comparable data laws give you these rights:
- to learn whether we hold any data on you and get a copy of it,
- to have incorrect data corrected,
- to have your data erased or its use restricted,
- to object where we rely on legitimate interest,
- to take data you supplied with you in a machine-readable format,
- to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.
A short email is all it takes to use any of these rights. We may ask a simple question to confirm the request really comes from you.
Children
Textic Talk is written for adults aged 18 and over. Should a message from someone under 18 reach us, we delete it once we notice.
Links and changes
Some articles link to other websites, which have their own privacy rules. If we change how the site handles data, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Our general conditions for using the site are in the House Rules.
